Plump Your Pout
Full lips are always in vogue. With fillers, you can temporarily plump your lips to a kissable pucker, but you may prefer something longer-lasting with less maintenance.
At Oculus Plastic Surgery, Dr. Harvey "Chip" Cole, III, MD, FACS, provides lip lifts to Atlanta patients looking to enhance the width, contour, and prominence of the upper lip. As people become “wiser” (aging), gravity continues to pull downward. Youthful smiles show the upper teeth, aged smiles show the lower teeth. An angel wing lip lift allows the upper lip to return back to its more proportion to show the upper teeth once again.
Pucker Up
A lip lift is a surgical procedure that enhances the appearance of the top lip by repositioning the tissue so that more of the natural area of coloration, called the vermilion, is visible.
From start to end, the procedure usually takes less than an hour and is performed under local anesthetic or sometimes sedation. The procedure does two things: it increases the prominence of the vermillion border (the line where the darker tissue of the lip meets the surrounding skin); it shortens the vertical distance between the center of the nose and the center of the upper lip (called the philtrum). It's accomplished by removing a wedge of tissue from under the nose, which lifts the top lip. Again, no lip fillers or implants are used. This is a 100% natural procedure with no fillers or implants or fat transfer.
A Fuller Upper Lip
The lasting effects of a lip lift are undeniably appealing. There's no need for touch-ups or refills as there would be with other lip augmentation methods. A lip lift:
The degree of lift and tiny alterations in the Cupid's bow can be tailored by adjusting the size and shape of the excision. A lip lift is effective for patients who have noticed their upper lips becoming thinner and can also be beneficial for those who want more lasting results than those provided by required maintenance and additional cost of lip fillers.

Dr. Cole utilizes endoscopic and laser techniques to ensure scarless healing. The procedure usually takes about an hour.
No Maintenance Necessary
Your lips will probably be slightly swollen for one to two weeks. Most of the time, it takes about six to eight weeks for the final results to emerge. Following a lip lift Atlanta patients may also feel tightness in the affected area for two to four months. Your lip lift should give you results that last for 10-15 years. Follow-up visits with Dr. Cole will ensure you get the best results possible.
While there are many different types of lip lifts, Dr. Cole specializes in three different techniques. His approaches are so unique with advanced techniques and laser technology that they are trademarked.
A lip flip is a cosmetic procedure that utilizes neuromodulators like Botox to relax the muscle in the upper lip, which causes the lip to turn outward and appear fuller. Unlike lip fillers, which are injections directly into the lip, the lip flip involves injecting the neuromodulator above the upper lip.
